As if things couldn’t get more stressful today, when trying to consider what Marketing news our readers need updated on, we found out that Spud Fest 2019, that was due to take place in the Walled Garden at Newbridge, Dublin has been cancelled.
The festival was formed to pay homage to the spud and celebrate National Potato Day. North Dublin’s spud farmers Country Crest and Keogh’s Farm had joined forces with Fingal County Council and Newbridge House and Farm to create a free family day out on Saturday 5 October….but now it is cancelled and we are going to have to go back to writing about Brexit….damn you Yellow rain.
Due to heavy rain and the Status Yellow weather warnings for the coming days, the people at Keogh’s Farm and Country Crest announced with regret that Spud Fest 2019 has been cancelled in the interest of public safety. Fear not, spud Fest will be back at Newbridge House and Farm in 2020.
